There comes a time when news, entertainment and opinion-editorialization (op-ed) are above and beyond reproach. This is the legacy and legend of MSNBC. It has gone on for too long. And this is not about freedom of speech. MSNBC is not news. It is a cable channel that stirs a pit of hate. MSNBC’s version of “inclusion” is actually exclusion for anyone or anything that is not on its side.

The time has arrived for MSNBC to lose every single one of its licenses to conduct and operate as a business. No more press passes. No more access to any political events. No more access to the White House. Its advertisers, sponsors and partners should even dare consider a “loss of public trust” and make a declaration of “force majeure” to break any and all contracts and agreements at their own choosing. Any public event host should be able to have any single representative of MSNBC blocked upon trying to enter their venue or have them removed from an event by security.

This call to action has no personal names and points to no named organizations. It is about the cult of ideology that keeps perpetuating. MSNBC is supposed to be changing its name to MS NOW for “My Source News Opinion World” later in 2025. Its message states up front:

“We will continue to cover the day’s news, ask the questions that matter most, and share how it impacts you, without fear or favor.”

Do not allow MSNBC to change its stripes. No fear. No favor. MSNBC needs to be eliminated once and for all for the sake of this nation!

The problem is not just the manner in which the “channel” has covered the assassination attempt(s) of President Trump in 2024, the coverage of judges using lawfare against Republicans (namely President Trump), the assassination of Charlie Kirk, and having its hosts and guests seemingly try to bait every single crime against blacks and minorities into a race war. MSNBC’s team has also been incredibly callous and insensitive when minority groups commit crimes against whites.

MSNBC has been a keen instrument in allowing the use of the term “Fascists” and even comparing a Trump rally to a pro-Nazi rally nearly a century ago. MSNBC should have considered the actual dark history of “Fascists” and “Nazis” before entertaining these terms. Look up what happened for actual death tolls during and ahead of World War II. This is not Fascism, and it is not Nazis.

MSNBC frequently doesn’t even show its viewers the actual news, even as the said news is developing. Their strategy is to offer a soundbite or a short clip and then to offer their opinion and view of the news, crafting the narrative for media consumers to see or hear.

MSNBC was one of the key perpetrators of “mostly peaceful” when it came to riots and protests which were actually the grounds for riots and looting sessions in many of America’s cities in recent years. How is that not blatantly lying?

MSNBC was critical of Israel on a live basis during the October 7, 2023 terror attack. This criticism reached a level that Comcast’s president of NBC Universal News issued marching orders to have its hosts “stick to facts” rather than pushing inflammatory opinions. Should “media consumers” perhaps have asked if the new marching orders were really over a moral issue or because of the loss of 24% of its ratings (or even one-third of its primetime audience) in the days immediately following the Israel attacks. MSNBC opted for the term “fighters” over “terrorists” and one group even asked MSNBC on-air if Hamas was writing MSNBC’s scripts for them.

MSNBC has a long history of favoring its political candidates of its choice long before primary elections are even determined. MSNBC’s polling efforts, or the supposed polls they have used in their messaging, have had such strong left-leaning “bias scores” that they seem to mirror fiction or their narrative rather than anything tied to reality.

MSNBC’s prior firings or reassigning of “anchors” and “pundits” doesn’t work. The history is that the replacements seem to perpetrate mostly the same left-leaning bias and coverage as their predecessors. This list of those people who have been fired or replaced would be too long to name (and this promised to be ‘nameless’). And while MSNBC has retracted news stories, once a story is out there it is very limited value in retractions.

MSNBC also omits breaking news stories that do not help craft its narratives. When it dared to bring in right-leaning consultants and on-air contributors it was met with internal protests as an “uprising” in reports. MSNBC’s staff doesn’t want anything resembling balance.

MSNBC also has a history of paying its top “talent” millions of dollars (to tens of millions per year) — one reported as much as $30 million. And MSNBC also hired a former White House press secretary under President Biden (with a $183,000 prior salary) to continue on with that narrative in a public interface, with an annual salary reported to be above $10 million in a multi-year deal!

If allowed to do so, MSNBC will operate under a new media company named VERSANT and will include CNBC and sports-related content. The announcement in August said that MSNBC will not be a part of NBCUniversal and NBC News. But, will it still run their polls? The company’s name-change announcement also talked of adding journalists into its newsroom — recruiting for nearly 100 new roles. These may be new faces, but MSNBC’s history seems likely to prevent them from having different stripes than their predecessors.

For the love of the country, the time has come to end any support for MSNBC and to prevent any future it can resurrect. This is not about suppression of speech, thought, or expression. This is about preventing MSNBC from continuing to do what it has been doing for far too long. The time has arrived.
